Last year, while the kangaroos were tapping the soil around my sleeping bag at night, I wrote a book. After being in front of screens for the better part of my life, trying to make a living, but not actually living, sleeping under the beautiful night sky in the Southern hemisphere was quite inspiring. Allow me to define behind: the Enterprise’s mailbox never before received so many loving comments from people all around the globe with appreciation and gratitude. That is truly heartwarming, and it is the most important reason why we do what we do. However, our servers cost money, and that’s where the “behind” comes from.

With Magnetic Mystery I created a scientific overview of where we stand as human species and in trying to understand our ever changing environment. It is published without any agenda — in many cases it even proves that I’ve missed the ball in the past.

I would like to thank all the donators so far, but we’re still US$300 behind to keep everything running this year. We will need new funds soon before February 5th, when our server contract is due to be renewed.
